Our little one arrived 4 days "late," but she finally came. Also, for those that may not remember, I think we were the only ones that didn't know the gender until delivery! So we over joyed to finally meet our little one.

Went into labor Sunday evening not sure when I might actually deliver because I heard the second delivery is sometimes faster, but didn't want to get my heart set on that.

We labored at home until around 7 am when I started to feel the urge to bear down (not push, but just the urge to squat), so I decided it was time to go.

(Funny story... In our class Tracy said you aren't in real active labor until you stop caring about your looks or having logical thoughts... I knew it was time to go to the hospital, so I brushed my teeth and straightened my hair. So I was sure I had a while to go. I delivered 2 hours later. So just goes to show how fast things can progress if you "relax" and allow it.)

With the help of Tracy's class and my wonderful husband I was able to go the whole way this time without pain medicine. It also helped that the anesthesiologist was due to be occupied with a C Section, so they offered once and said he wouldn't be available after if I passed. That helped my mind set, kind of like... "okay, here we go..." When it came to pushing, I kept the thought of momma bear in my head and it seemed to help me stay focused on the task and my breath. Poor Josh, I swear I broke both of his hands.
